Practicing art is
a tradition important to the Hmong’s way of life. HArC is
committed to ensuring a future of arts in the Hmong community through
its tradition of developing professional Hmong artists and writers.
2) Community
members, young and old, have access to Hmong art and writing:
The Hmong people
have a long tradition of integrating art into their daily lives. The
adoption of a new country and way of life decreased the Hmong’s
access to past and contemporary Hmong art. HArC is committed to keep
art accessible to all members of the community.
3) We are
organizationally and financially stable:
After 14 years of
strong influence and accomplishments, HArC remains small. In order for
HArC to grow and fulfill its mission, HArC’s leadership is
committed to building an arts organization that is stable financially
and organizationally.
4) Successful
Hmong artists and writers make an impact:
HArC has a long
tradition of cultivating and inspiring artists and writers to leave
their mark on society. Many community leaders and activists today are
artists and writers who used HArC’s venues to debut their work.
HArC is committed to ensuring Hmong artists and writers impact the
communities they live in.
